Plan Annual targets of Sales with CEO and distribute to sales team for achievement of targets through proper planning.
Monitor and guide the members of sales team on their targets and ensure smooth sales operations throughout the year.
Define territories (geographically) for sales team so that they sell the products as per assigned targets in their defined areas while avoiding any overlapping territories.
Document daily visit plans and prospects of his team by maintaining daily register. Convene “Targets Setting” meeting and issue daily visit plan to each team member. Conduct “Sales Review Meeting” to ensure execution of plans. Randomly accompany members of the sales team on their sale pitch visits to monitor their knowledge, skill and attitude.
Ensure that his team has a keen eye on client’s activities related to their upcoming business needs.
Identify and track upcoming tenders through websites to ensure timely submission of tender quotes and associated tender documents. Negotiate for mobilization advance and against performance guarantees and retention money to improve company cash flows.
Achieve Monthly sales targets through self and immediate team.
Visit clients personally whenever he or top management feels that his visit is needed for closing the sales deal.
Ensure sales team implements on SoPs of sales, after sales services, delivery and site work besides ensuring best personal traits i.e. appearance, behavior standards, skill and attitude of sales team.
Freeing up his team’s time by ensuring that the sales team ensures deliveries, installations, complaints and after sales are handled on time and smooth with close customer coordination without intervention of top management.
Monitor, guide and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and ensure smooth sales operations.
Do on-time operational decisions to increase or maintain sales, complete manpower, introduce promotions tolls, etc.
Visit key-clients, twice a week, and through his active monitoring and follow ups, ensures that the visits to such clients are documented for records.
During his visits listen and document diligently issues of client to deliver quality products/services.
Ensure that complete range of products is properly on display at the warehouse at all times. There should exists no difference between the documented and actual inventory/accounts. Manage / budget and control departmental expenses.
Freeing up sales team time by ensuring that after sales are handled on time and smooth with close customer coordination.
Take Market Intelligence reports from sales team in order to calculate competitor moves and take insights for development of new product.
Has a strong liaison with top management and share the market insights with him.
Shares sales negotiations skills with his team i.e. 50% advance at the time of order booking and balance 50% payment should be negotiated before delivery but after inspection.
In case of credit, sales negotiate payment terms should not accede 30 days. Ensures that invoices and delivery challans, duly signed by the customer, are received within the stipulated time.
Ensure timely recoveries and contract completion of sales through sales team and sometimes work on recoveries directly through phone calls and visits.
Develop proper behavior of sales team regarding sales, customer service, delivery and site-work etc. as per SoPs
Conduct monthly business review meeting with already defined agenda and any other performance matters.
Conduct monthly meetings for setting / reviewing / revising KPIs and KRAs of the direct reports.
Perform performance evaluations of immediate staff on monthly basis.
Ensure proper training & development of the sales staff wherever & whenever needed through performance review.
Ensure complete product/process knowledge training for every new team member within one week of his joining.
Developing department staff through formal and informal coaching, counseling & mentoring sessions. Make sure to deliver in-house trainings on selling skills and pipeline development for his immediate team.
Develop a successor of himself as well as successors of his immediate subordinates by using succession planning method.
Document all existing and new key accounts and execute a formal engagement plan for them to capture their top of mind via but not limited to courtesy visits, emails, inviting to company events.
